My name is Jen, and not that long ago, my life looked nothing like it does now.

I didn't start Beloved Cheesecakes from a beautiful kitchen or with a big budget.

I started with nothing.

I grew up in chaos.
I was kicked out as a teenager.
I found myself in an abusive marriage.
I was raising three boys while trying to survive.

At one point, I was homeless.

No money.
No safety net.
No guarantee tomorrow would be easier than today.

I went to court hearings during the day and studied at night.
I earned my degree with straight A's while life kept trying to break me.

And in the middle of all that…

I started baking.

Not to start a business.
Not to get rich.

But because baking was the only place where things felt whole.

I was given an overflow of free blackberries.

But I had ingredients.

So I baked cheesecakes and gave them away.

That dessert was just dessert.
That I was a dreamer.

But I didn't care.

Because I had already lost everything once.

So after countless early mornings, late nights, and years of pouring my heart into every single cake…
